The Reith Lectures are a yearly lecture series in Britain by important public intellectuals. The first recommendation would be to go back and check out many of the past series.

The 2025 Reith lectures are about Moral Ambition are by Rutger Bregman.  He is calling for us all to have more moral ambition in our lives, and I couldn't agree more. Even if I have a slightly different take on some of the ideas, Bregman is talking about things that matter. Hopefully we can rise to his challenge. Many people need to shrug off an isolated, distracted, consumerist slumber and find, or reclaim, a self that engages with the important global issues.

There are great stories passing us by while we stare at entertainment. Maybe we all have the potential for so much more in our lives.
