This is one of my favourite photos ever.

My grandfather was a pivotal figure in my life, and one of my primary role models.  I heard that he was a hard man when he was younger, but I never saw any of that.  He was always kind, generous and funny with me.

I spent many hours, as did the other grandsons, sawing, turning and gluing wooden things with him in his workshop.

Only thing here is I wish I'd put my beer down.
