Gigi's Pizza was perhaps the most reknowned pizza restaurant in Australia.  So when it decided to go fully plant based with it's menu it was news of some note.

We managed to get a table, it was one of the busiest places I went to in Sydney, and had a fantastic pizza.  It must be said Cathy rated it slightly higher than I did but we were both very pleased.

When it was announced they would open up a small restaurant on the Gold Coast, a lot of people in the area waited expectantly.  Then however they made the huge mistake of making only gluten-free bases and serving the pizzas reheated from a display cabinet.  When I tried it, they reheated it under a grill, making the base cold and only the top ingredients luke warm.  They looked great, but we were all disappointed.

Anyway, next time I'm in Sydney, I'll head back to the original, and ask for extra gluten on mine.
