Farm Animal Rescue is an animal sanctuary not far from the north of Brisbane.

They play a role in providing a refuge for a small fraction of the animals unlucky enough to go through our industrial factory farming system, and perhaps more importantly they do educational tours.

I've been a couple of times, and like every visit to an animal sanctuary, I get a deep feeling when I go there.  Here is how humans and animals can relate to each other, as friends, companions.  Sanctuaries bring to mind one of my favourite sayings, animals are here with us, not for us.

If you haven't been to an animal sanctuary which rescues farmed animals I think you need to.  You need to look into another animal's eyes and decide what you see peering back at you.
